Whether you know exactly how you’d like me to help you, or you are unsure what support you are after, the first step is to request your “Career Discovery” consultation.
Career Discovery consultation is a 45min call (Skype or phone), which will give you a greater sense of clarity when thinking through your options and next steps. After learning about your career-related challenges, I will be able to give you brief career advice and some practical tips.
“Thank you so much for such fantastic and invaluable careers coaching. You really have enlightened me to new ways of thinking about my future career options. You’ve helped me identify my top career values and interests, aspects of medicine that motivate me and the important qualities of those that inspire me. Importantly you’ve helped me look beyond the Consultant ‘post’ and think about what it is that will make me truly fulfilled in my future career.”
Respiratory specialty registrar exploring options for career progression
“Many thanks for a comprehensive summary <sent after the meeting as a Word document> and for helpful advice about researching career options, including contact and recommendations between sessions. I have now registered on LinkedIn, and have had a brief look at some of the websites you suggested – and look forward to researching in some more detail over the coming weeks.
I think a number of my CMT colleagues who are uncertain how to proceed after core medical training would have really benefited from this advice.”
